Becoming a VCRN Contributing Member VCRN.org was started by a mixed group of businesses and organizations who had one goal in mind - to increase the use if used building materials in construction in Vermont in an effort to reduce the consumption of new materials while keeping old materials out of the waste stream.
The initial development of this site was funded through a grant from the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources and is sustained by the financial and "sweat equity" contributions of its members.
At this time, the suggested contribution to VCRN to become a contributing member is $100 per year if C&D reuse is the company or organization's primary business and $50 per year if C&D reuse is a secondary or tertiary portion of the business.
Some examples of primary businesses would be demolition and recovery businesses and used building material retail stores.
Examples of secondary and tertiary businesses are General Contractors and Solid Waste Districts.
Contributing members receive a special page on our web site outlining their businesses with photos and links as requested by the member. They also receive a logo next to their business name in search results. Additionally, members receive the benefit of saying they are part of this powerful effort to build green in Vermont!
Members are encouraged to contribute photos, project sheets, video, articles, and any supporting documentation and media to advance the education and awareness of the building consumer in Vermont. VCRN is always happy to accept materials from non-members and will use said materials at its discretion. All submissions become the property of VCRN.org.
If you have any questions about becoming a member or the fees associated with membership, please call Amy Moore, VCRN.org's webmaster at 802-823-9399. |
