VCRN Support for the
Crozet Community

Virginia Community Response Network is offering
pro bono support to individuals impacted by the events at the Crozet Harris Teeter on February 17, 2025
After a tragedy, it is normal to experience painful emotions, disturbance in sleep, appetite, or mood, or an increase in stress, anxiety, numbness, physical complaints, or sadness that makes it difficult to cope.
Early intervention minimizes the emotional effects of traumatic events.
Up to 5 sessions are provided free of charge.
Individuals may choose to be seen in-person or virtually.

What does VCRN do and how can it help?
VCRN is offering up to 5 pro bono sessions for individuals who may be experiencing stress as a result of this tragic event. Our licensed, volunteer therapists use EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) early interventions that have been researched and used successfully around the world to provide relief. The goal is to reduce the distress of the most upsetting parts of this experience, and assist the individual in returning to their pre-event functioning.
How can I receive these services?
To participate, we ask that you complete our participant information and consent form below. Once you have submitted this form, you will receive a link to the Impact of Event Scale to complete. Your VCRN therapist will contact you to schedule your first appointment.
